A good resource for people that would like a more suiting favicon but are not good at 16x16 pixels is IconBuffet; they have a 16x16 version in their sets and it's usually pretty easy to get someone to send you a set that you want.

I have always thought that favicon should be something unique to a site, no point using what everyone else is using. If someone’s domain is using the blogger’s icon, I wouldn’t have notice that it wasn’t a blogspot site.

I agree with you. Maybe I wouldn’t if it was particularly laborious or difficult to upload a favicon, but it really isn’t. Mine’s crappy but at least I have one

I have a favicon in KSF.. need to make one for my other sites. They don’t have one at all at the moment. I’m really bad at tiny things like that.

So so true! I don’t understand why people son’t create a favicon for their site. When they have taken the time to actually set up a site and design a layout, how much work could a 16×16 icon be?
I know my favicon isn’t the most intersting out there, but I couldn’t come up with something (still haven’t) more interesting, so it’s a temporary icon until I do, no default icons on my site, no way!

I’m much to lazy for a favicon lol… but I don’t have a default one. I simply have none.
