It’s my belief that everyone has the power of poetry within. Anyone who listens to music has that frame inside that can piece together fragments of words to form a poem, no matter how abstract, short or nonsensical it may be, it’s there within us all just waiting for a pen to give it ‘voice’.
That’s not to say that everyone out there is a poet, just that everyone has the possibility to be one should they make that choice.
If you pay attention to the posts of many blogs online today you’ll see a certain flow within the words and that to me is poetic in its own way.
Anything that’s written and has a nice rhythm to it can be viewed as a type of poetry even if it doesn’t have a genre to fall into. So from an abstract point of view, yes, bloggers are poetic.
I used to write poetry everyday but somewhere down the line I lost my feel for it. Below is one I salvaged from one of my many notebooks. As you can see it was written quite some time ago and isn’t what I would call ‘great’ but you can read it anyway 
Sinking
05/21/01As the rain pours from the sky,
I feel my heart begin to sink.
The same way it does
When you begin to speak.You dwell upon the past,
No desire to let it go.
You have scars deep within,
As deep as blizzard snow.Your heart has hardened.
Your trust, you’ve lost.
You hide your love,
You trust no one.How can you live in the cage of your mind
With no one to love?
How can you walk through life
Blind to your own emotions?I don’t understand you.
You don’t understand me.
And yet somehow, someway,
We get along so perfectly.
