21FebWTF?!

I upgraded wordpress not too long ago and wandered away to make some coffee.. or something.. whatever it was took me a few weeks to find/accomplish.

Anywho, when I came back to my dashboard to check on comments and spam I gasped in horror as I realised all comment related material (minus previous comment counts within older posts) was gone!

Not a trace of them could be found. So for weeks I’ve been digging and sifting trying to find and fix the issue when I logged in tonight and.. voila the comments magically reappeared.

So wtf? I’m confused that’s for sure, but at least they’re back right?

I bet more than half of you guys thought I’d kicked the bucket. Hate to burst your bubble but the goofy one is still alive and kicking.. now I just have to upgrade wordpress.. again *smacks forehead* Go figure eh?

On a shittier note, it appears that discreet romance has been cheating the google system and in turn cheating the people they buy adspace from. They’ll be dropping off my list (no refund for selfish, misleading people.. sorry!) of advertisers in about 2.5 seconds.

I’ll be damned if I’m going to suffer google prosecution because some idiot gets greedy and tries to cheat the system. Hell, Comotized already suffers enough due to my small brain and lack of time, I don’t need any additional help in that area!

Another sad (to me at least) note is that my valentine gifts are super late due to lack of funds and time. All of my money has been shelled out into a gas tank for job interviews, applications and general job hunting type things. So to all my pen pals you WILL get some goodies, I haven’t forgotten about you, they’re just late so bear with me. Life is anything but calm these days.. hell half the time I want to jam the crossed end of a phillips screwdriver through my forehead.. but we’ll talk about that later.

Now I’m off to remove a link and shoot off some long overdue emails and hopefully return some comments. Lord only knows how late those are in comming!

23OctPay your own bills jackass!

Well, I finally figured out why our electricity bill was high…

It seems the guy in the apartment directly behind us thought it would be okay to hook into our meter box and use our electricity.

We went into the empty apartment beside his looking for an outlet cover when we noticed he had an extension cord hooked up to our box.

No wonder it’s been taking all my money to pay our bills.

Well.. he won’t be doing it for awhile. I made Barry pull the plug and cut the tip off so he couldn’t re-plug the cord. The next time I find him stealing our electricity the cops will be called and he can go to jail where he belongs. We already pay for all the hot water for three apartments, we can’t afford to pay for someone else’s electricity, and we shouldn’t have to either.

We pay $475 for this rinky dink apartment, pay for everyone’s hot water and we pay for the extra room in the apartment next to us which should be ours but isn’t. The lady next to us pays $500 + for her apartment and what does this deadbeat pay for his? $135.. how the hell is that fair or logical when his apartment is a mirror image or our own?

I guess the fact that he runs drugs for the landlord is explanation enough but that doesn’t make it fair. If everyone else can pay their bills he can too.

I really hope our voucher comes through soon, I hate living here. A drug selling landlord is definitely not something I wish to be associated with. The house itself is a piece of shit to begin with. There’s a hole in the roof, the floorboards are rotting out from underneath us, there’s next to no space for anything, there’s mold in the ceiling and the landlord thinks it’s okay to unlock your door and walk into your apartment any time he wants with no prior notice what-so-ever.

Definitely not my idea of a good place to live.

In either case I’m glad I found and took care of that extension cord. I’m sorry but I don’t pay electric bills for crack addicts, or anyone else for that matter. You want electricity, you pay for it because I don’t have that kind of money and quite frankly it isn’t my job. If you’re that bad off go to the local shelter and let them help you.

Am I right or am I right?

On the plus side I got a super-cute Halloween card from Bubs filled with goodies. I must say it really did brighten my day. With all the crap and money issues I’ve been dealing with lately a little reminder that good people still exist was sorely needed, so thank you Bubs!

14AprPenpal Gifts & Canabalistic Sea-Monkeys

A few days back I received a package in the mail from Michele. I already knew there would be super cute items inside but when I opened the box I was astounded.

Three out of four items within the box were items I had been looking at on ebay for months. Naturally I was excited and I must tell you that it felt damn close to christmassy for me.

Here’s what I found in the box:

As you can see it’s all super cute and it really is strange how well she knows me. If I had gone to a store somewhere to shop for myself that sold these kind of items these are the very things I would pick out for myself. Pretty neat eh?

The bobblehead is now surfing on top of my computer monitor, the keychain is located within my bag with my house keys on it, the plushie is lounging happily on my bed amongst a host of pillows and the notebook is sitting directly in front of me on the desk.

And just in case I don’t say it enough to Michele, Thank you!

In site news I have created two new desktop wallpapers from some photos I took of our backyard the other day. The only edits done was the size and some saturation and a little splash of color here and there. The rest came purely from mr.kodak.

I also redid the entire page to make it cleaner and easier to use. Now you can view the previews without leaving the page and in all honesty.. it just looks better.

Sometime in the future I’ll make more desktops with the photos I’ve taken of my surrounding area, they certainly turn out better than my digital attempts!

In sea-monkey news, all the adult sea-monkeys have eaten each other. I went to bed a few nights back with a full tank of big healthy sea-monkeys and woke up to find all of them gone but two. Another night later and even those had eaten each other. But not to worry, the tank is filled again with a bazillion and one baby monkeys. There’ll be another full tank in about ten days or so. This time I’m going to use the aqua leash and transfer the big monkeys to a separate tank from the babies so hopefully they won’t eat each other again *crosses fingers*
