13MayRest in Peace… Mr. Ant?!

I always knew in the back of my mind that fish like to eat bugs or well.. more than just worms.

I’ve seen them eat corn but I’d never seen a fish eat any other kind of bug, aside from a worm (they’re considered bugs aren’t they?), until last night.

I was watching t.v. when I noticed a huge black ant prancing its way around the top of George’s bowl. Before I could lean up and brush him away the little guy fell into the water.

I watched in amazement as George flared up like a little water lion and literally kicked the ant’s ass to kingdom come. Within half a minute the ant was dead and sinking to the rocks.

I was even more amazed when George put up his flares and ate mr. ant.

I swear, that poor lil ant never had a chance. George has an attitude problem. I’ve always known that but he was a little demon from the time the ant hit the water until the ant was safely tucked away in his belly.

Betta Fish eat ants.. who knew?

On a sidenote, there are three new tutorials in the goodies section. They’ve been there a good two days now but I just didn’t feel like posting.

Now you can learn how to clean your body jewelry the easy way, remove blackheads without damaging your skin and how to make your nail polish last for weeks instead of having it chip away a few hours or days later.

And now *insert drumroll here* for those who’ve been wanting to see my new hardware. I did you one better. I mixed the old hardware with the new hardware and came out with… THIS!.

09MayExpensive Books and Photo Ops

I just paid $44.96 for a set of four books.

That’s expensive, but not quite as bad when I start thinking about the fact that each one of them is adequately thick and hardbound and one of them isn’t even finished being published yet. (June 2007)

They’ll last about a week, if that, but hey, a girls gotta read!

The books I’m talking about are the Kushiel series. I’ve read Kushiel’s Dart before and had no idea there was more. I enjoyed the book so when I found them on sfbc.com I snagged em up!

They’re a little dirty but the material isn’t pornographic and there is a lot to do with politics embedded within the pages so I should be okay but I did find out that sfbc sells dirty anime books which I found highly amusing. There was a bunch of pictures of them in the catalog they sent to me in the mail. I wonder how many people actually get off reading them… Nah, strike that, I really don’t wanna know! lmao

Now it’ll just take about half a year to get the damned things

Anywho, pertaining to the last entry I think a few people were confused. The lip piercing didn’t hurt, it was just a very odd feeling. Eyebrow and tongue piercings, for those who are curious about them.. don’t hurt at all. Just make sure if you go to get it done that you go to an actual piercing/tattoo parlor and that you get to watch them pull out all of the equipment. You’ll know it’s sterile because the utensils come vacuum sealed in their own pouches.

As for the tongue ring that freaked the woman out so bad, it’s one of my koosh ones which is multicolored and has little rubber/silicone spikes sprouting all over the place. Click here to see the one that did her in lmao. I’m not pretty so don’t expect anything great but there it is. Shield your eyes and you should be okay. I promise that it won’t leave any permanent damage but that’s the only promise I’ll make :P hehe

27AprStripped by Morning

Thanks to Cody I have a lovely cold/sinus infection/flu type thing going on. I woke up yesterday with a sore throat and it’s quickly progressed from there.

Now I’ve got a high temperature to the point where I’m slurring my words and seeing and talking to things that aren’t there. I’ve got a massive headache, can’t breathe through my nose, can’t walk a straight line for the life of me, hot and cold chills.. basically the works.

I threatened to kill him earlier but he just laughed at me. I guess he knows I’m too weak to kill so much as a fly at this point but I tell ya, when this stuff takes it’s claws out of me he’s going to have sore-er knees than normal *shakes fist*

I noticed that my pagerank for google has gone down a point and it made me curious so I wandered over to Malin’s and it seems google bit her too. I guess there’s a new rule for gaining rank now that we need to figure out. Yippie.

I mean hell, it only took me two years to hit a five, maybe if I stay here another ten I’ll get a six but at the moment I’m just not in the caring mood.

My guess is I’m too ‘doped’ up to care. I think you could smack me with a rolling pin and I’d just stare at you with half-glazed eyes.

I hate being sick. Where most people can take two dayquils and call it a day I’ve got to hop up on a mix of sinus pills, tylonol, cough syrup, antibiotics and mucinex. Even after all of that I still feel sick but the rest of my body is nice and warm and fuzzy.

I’m just waiting for my cat to start talking to me. At that point I know it’s time to head to the doctor for supervision thanks to my body’s weird temperature reaction to sickness.

Who knows, maybe I’ll strip down to my under-roos and dance around the apartment singing ‘born to be free’ at the top of my lungs by morning. It really is hard to tell what I’ll do when I’m sick. I’m just glad we don’t have any stairs to fall down this time.

Meh.. I was on a roll but I looked away from the editor for a second and now I’m just lost again. That seems to be happening a lot today. This morning I put my coffee in the microwave five times before I realised what I was doing. I also ran into the door before remembering to open it, damn near crippled myself falling out of the shower and was logged online for probably a good half hour before I even remembered I’d turned my computer on.

Laughable to say the least but it’s quite disturbing at the same time. I think this is the one time I’m glad my mom is home for the night. That way I can’t get into TOO much trouble. Not as much as I’d get into by myself at least so that’s a plus right?

Oh yeah, before I forget.. there are two more new desktop backgrounds in the goodies section and I finally put my for sale page up as well so if you need a new desktop or a tamagotchi I’ve got ya covered *nods* I’m willing to haggle a bit on the tamagotchi prices so if it seems too high to you and you still want it just e-mail me and we’ll talk about it, or hell, add me to your messenger though I can’t garuntee I’ll be coherant :P hehe

26AprBackup to Attraction

I’m a little late on blogging due to hanging out with Cody and one of his friends for the past two nights.

Apparently Cody is attracted to said friend and is shy so he needed backup, which is where I got drug into it. I got in at 7am the other morning and 4am this morning so not a lot of room for blogging there as I can’t log online during the day.

I’m aware that I have another blog tag to do and I will be getting to that as soon as possible following up with normal ‘me’ posts and sometime in the next week or two a sponsored post to cover some funds I need but nothing major or distracting so no worries there.

Anywho, I did manage to create and post two new desktop backgrounds before being dragged all over the state of Virginia. It’s still my backyard just with some more color options and different angles and whatnot so enjoy those until I can come back and bug ya ok?
