I know humans can be conjoined and sometimes cows and other large to medium-sized animals are born with two heads or other various appendages but have any of you heard of that happening to an insect of any kind?
Boboes was batting at something on the floor and when I brushed him away I found two moths, or so I thought…
Upon closer inspection it’s two moths, but they’re connected at the bottom, so technically it’s two moths.. conjoined.. resulting in a single split moth.
I tried to snap a picture but the moths are too small, just one of those tiny tannish-colored ones. *sniffles* I really wanted to show you, bah to small objects *shakes fist*
I didn’t think this sort of thing happened in the insect world, I guess I was wrong. Who knew?

Conjoined moths?? I’ve never heard or seen that before, lol. Too bad you weren’t able to take a picture of it (them?).
Now that’s a first. Even I, a mere biologist who has already encountered weird biological disabilities such as this tri-kidneyed guy or a girl who happens to have her internal organs in mirrored positions, haven’t heard of such. Dang! No photos at all? Le sigh.
Conjoined moths? Wow, pity there’s not pictures. Haha, I’d like to see that lol
Sorry for not commenting in past posts, I was reading them, but I didn’t have the mood to comment so sorry >
Maybe those moths were mating and got stuck?
(In response to your comment) You’re not making me feel too confident, lol. Thanks for your luck!
Wow, that is so strange. I haven’t seen or heard of conjoined moths before! It’s kind of sad.
Weird! I wish you coulda gotten a picture. I’d love to see that!
that’s pretty funky, too bad you couldn’t get a picture
