Another long absence from yours truely, go figure eh? I had planned to blog before this point but things just haven’t been happening as I have them planned. I haven’t been sleeping well at all lately. If I had a way to calculate my sleep time I’d give exact numbers but my guess would be about four hours in the past week or so.
The main problem with this is I’m exhausted. I feel as if I could just fall over and sleep on the spot but when I go to bed nothing happens. I’m used to the no sleep problem. It’s the tired part that I’m not used to. Normally I’m tired after I’ve slept. Sounds odd I know but it’s true. I think I was just born a backwards person.
Have I mentioned that Wochovia sucks? For the past couple of weeks I’ve been trying to open a free checking account with them but they keep sending me on wild goose chases. First they couldn’t open it because my license is expired. Well duh, my car died, I had no reason to renew it. So they tell me an i.d card will work in it’s place. I go to the dmv, wait for hours and get the i.d. card I need. So I go back to Wochovia and do you know what the lady told me?
Well, we can’t use that until it’s a week to a month old.. I’m sorry!
Why the hell do I need to wait a week to a month? The picture on the card isn’t going to morph into someone else and the information printed on it isn’t going to change in that time frame so why the hell can’t you just open my damned account?!
This is the same with all banks apparently but I want the account at Wochovia for a few reasons. A) it’s nowhere near my mother’s bank B) I won’t have to keep checks in the house C) there’s no minimum balance or monthly fees and D) you get a free visa check card.
There’s more to it than that but those are the main reasons. My mother can not be trusted with or around money or anything related to it. If my bank was close to hers she’d know too much on how to get money out and find a way to tap into my account. If I kept checks in the house she’d steal them and forge my signature. So yeah, it’s what I need.
If they don’t straighten up in the next two or so days I’ll go to the dmv and get them to make a call to them. Something has got to give ya know? I mean come on, I did what you asked me to do, now it’s time for you to own up to your end of the bargain.
It just goes to show that everything is changing. It used to be a social security card and birth certificate would open anything you wanted. Those are two things everyone has and each one is unique in itself so it worked out great. Until the bastard scammers kept playing with their graphic programs and learned how to reproduce any document you can think of. Now you have to have a whole buttload of crap to get anything. Next thing you know we’ll have to be fingerprinted and give a urine sample to open accounts or purchase adult related items. Don’t you just love how this world is evolving?

For starters you are a riot! I too suffer from insomnia and it’s gotten to the point that I almost wish I didn’t have to sleep. As for collecting urine samples, I would love to be the one to give any financial institution a golden shower! Money sucks and the people who want to hold it for you control it for you - I think it should be us screening them! It’s been over ten years since I have had a bank account, my safe works just fine.

I’m usually more tired than I am after I’ve woken up too.
I’ve got the same kind of sleeping issues as you do. I’ll either be extremely tired, then lay in bed and can’t sleep;; or wake up and be so tired it hurts. It really sucks, but ya learn to live with it, I guess.
I hope you can get more sleep soon. I sometimes have similar problems with sleeping too. Last night I kept waking up time after time, and in the morning I felt like I hadn’t slept at all.
That sucks about the account. Sounds way too complicated. Well, I hope it works out!
Oh, that sounds great, the urine samples and the fingerprints. Geez, I wish it would never come to that.
That sounds so silly, what with the a week to a month old.You’d think it was to prevent people to just get the id card to get the account, but what’s it to them anyway? I don’t get it, but it doesn’t sound like you get it either.
I hope you manage it out somehow, I don’t know - try yelling at them, but don’t bring any large bags or anything.
Well I hope all those benfits are worth the trouble you have to go through. Its too bad you couldn’t just pick a place by your mothers. It sucks that she doesn’t trust you.Hopefully everything works out though, good luck.
Haha, I use Wachovia, and I hate banks in general. I hate ANY corporation in general… lol. They’re evilbad. {nods}
