I haven’t every tried any fads other than smoking and I quit that. So none I guess…
Anywho, sorry for my lack of bloggy-ness lately. I’ve been working double time over at Caffeinated MB trying to get all the hacks installed. We have some pretty neat things now. A portal, shoutbox, lottery game, referral system, affiliate system, contact form and a bunch of other stuff. We have a total of 14 members and 328 posts. I also lessened the width of the forum so it looks a lot better now. And there’s some cute pixels in the shops with more being added. The same pixels should appear on the adoptions page here sometime. All work and no play makes for a dully dully day :up: hehe

The Caffeinated MB officially opened at 10pm on April 21, 2005. The shop is installed, colors, icons and everything else is completely set and ready to go. The old forum no longer exists. I mass e-mailed all the members notifying them of the change and swiped it completely off my server. To get to the new and improved forum just click on the screen shot. It opens in the same window so I highly suggest right clicking it and hitting ‘Open in a new window’ if you wish to remain here. Otherwise you’ll have to backtrack a bit.
I’m VERY pleased with how this board turned out. There are some parts I’m not quite sure about but over all I love it. It’s so much better than the old forum. TONS of topics because of the sub-forum capabilities. I really hope it’ll snag a new member or two.
Anywho, I just wanted to inform you guys of that. And to give you a ’sneak peak’ of it. Now I’m off to promote it just a bit more. Wish me luck! :wink:
I have no idea where these two are headed but it sure looks like fun! It took twenty minutes for their pixel outfits to be put on, I hope they aren’t running late :shock: I think they turned out quite well. I’m loving her dress, and that’s saying a lot considering the fact I detest anything pink. I can just imagine them twirling around on a mini pixeled lilly pad doing a nice romantic waltz by candlelight or some such dance.
Okay, clearly I’ve been making far too many pixeled items as of late. I think it’s starting to go to my head. Those two little guys were inspired by yet another pixel button I created for the Caffeinated MB. The button features a sail boat (water included) with one frog pointing a sword and another one just lounging near the front of the tiny vessel. I normally have a hard time drawing frogs and thought I did a pretty nifty job so I decided to see if I could take it a bit further. Which is good for you guys because the featured amphibions have inspired me to do yet another project…
I promised you guys I would make new pixel adoptions during my absense, which I have, they just aren’t posted yet. The new project is animal couples. We already have the frogs now we just have to create the monkies, cats, dogs and whatever else we can think up. I don’t think the frogs are quite finished yet though. I think they need a lilly pad to dance on and just a hint of water. What do you guys think? And what type of pixel adoptions are you most interested in? I’m not great at pixeling but I’ll try anything :biggrin:
Who knew you could turn an 88×31 button into a pie? I sure didn’t. I was fiddling around in MS Paint seeing what kind of odd buttons I could come up with for the new forum I’m working on and I came up with this. It started out looking like a sail boat but when I sat back and looked at it I thought ‘hey, I bet if I cut those overlaps off here and drew a line here it would look like a pie…’ So I tried it and low and behold the new pixelized pie button for the Caffeinated MB!
I know I know, I already have a forum, so why create another one right? Well phpBB2 just isn’t working for me. I find that phpbb2 is better suited for buisness type sites. Yes there is a shop hack and it is installed onto my current forum but I just don’t like it the way it is. It doesn’t suit me. Soo, I found the last stable release of Invision Power Board. Installed it and have been working on it ever since. There’s a LOT more topics on the new forum because of it’s sub-forum capabilities and the themes aren’t hard to create at all. As soon as I finish recoloring the tables and editing a few more icons it’s ready to go. It features a cute bunny mermaid from Dudu. I think it’s very cute and hopefully the new forum will snag a lot of new members. The imaturity issues at my current forum are really bugging me lately so everything will be fixed and kicked into shape with this new one. I’d give you a link and let you view but it doesn’t have it’s face all the way on quite yet :wink:
Anywho, I was going to do another ‘Friday’s Feast’ last night but I was just too tired. I went to sleep at 2am. Sadly I still haven’t slept yet. I keep thinking I smell something burning. The smell isn’t anything burning but a skunk that sprayed outside. Can’t tell my mind the difference though. I get to the point where I’m almost alseep then my eyes snap back open and I jump up and run to the electricle outlet only to find my mind was fooled again. My lil fuzzy friends aren’t helping either. I have two chinchillas chasing each other through the tunnels fussing as hard as they can fuss, a mouse jumping against the lid of it’s cage and a rat slamming a cat ball around it’s cage. Go figure eh? It’s like they know when I’m tired and act up just to piss me off. The lil bastids.. I love em though so I can’t complain.
Oh speaking of house issues… My oldest brother, Shaun came over yesterday to pick up my neice. It was fairly nice out yesterday so he decided to wash his car. Now unknown to me and him the pipe that connects the waterhose to the house busted about three weeks back. So he turns the hose on scrubbing away at his car and it’s really loud. I just sort of sit there looking at it thinking it’s odd but not saying anything. So, he goes home, mom is gone and I’m all alone. 5pm rolls around and the sun starts dropping from the sky. I go around the house everyday at this time to close the blinds and flick on the lamps and porch light. So I’m making my rounds and everything is fine… until I go to shut the blinds on the left side of the house and ‘SPLASH!’ I step into a giant puddle of icy water about two inches deep. SOAKING the bottom of my pants. Man I was so pissed off. I had just changed into my nice comphy pjs and was all ready to relax and stuff. :stress:
It seems to me that sleep and relaxation aren’t meant to be part of my daily life. I go a month or two with normal sleep then my insomnia kicks in or something completely random like last night happens and screws me up. And relaxation.. I have one word for that HA! Then again that could be considered two words IF you count the exclaimation point but we’ll say that it’s one for now.
And now I’m back to my steaming coffee and table coloring expidition. Man, I REALLY know how to have a good time don’t I? :biggrin:
