You’d think with my wonderful procrastination skills I’d get a ton of work done on both of my websites and still have time to get my ‘mystery’ site up and going. But alas, it seems my procrastination has been filled with cage cleaning and lots of indulgent reading.
Post Munkey has no new content, comotized got minimal work done and my mystery site.. well at this rate it’ll remain a mystery forever. I’ve even thought about selling the domain but I can’t find a good place to sell it. It seems all auction sites require that you pay to sell. That to me just seems stupid. The whole point of selling something is to gain money, not give it away, am I right? So why the hell should I pay forty bucks to sell a domain at a reasonable price?
I’m still thinking of selling it. Probably on my own terms through Post Munkey and Comotized but I’m a newbie when it comes to selling so I have no clue how to transfer information. Meaning once a person has paid for said domain, I have no idea how to change my information to theirs.
If anyone knows how do to this, which I’m sure a lot of you do, please clue me in. I’m stupid and need partially in depth information. I want to sell it, I just don’t want anyone getting ripped off in the process ya know?
Other than procrastinating I spent the day in the bathroom in front of the mirror with a toothpick. A few years back I had a tooth absess and had to go in for an emergency root canal. It had absessed so bad that once they drilled down into the tooth, it wouldn’t stop draining and couldn’t be filled at that time. Well, I never did go back to the dentist to have it refilled. I figured the tooth had no feeling anymore so why bother?
Little did I know that the drilling had made the tooth’s walls thin and fragile. So I was chewing on some juicy fruit, reveling in the taste of whatever freaky, wanna-be fruit flavors they put in there when the gum accidently went into the hole left by the canal procedure…
Like any normal person I used my tongue to drag the gum back out but.. something wasn’t right. It felt as if my tooth had popped out of place and refused to go back when I prodded it with my tongue.. then my index finger and then both.
Having no luck I went into the bathroom to see what the malfunction was. Low and behold one of the outter edges of the tooth (the part that lines up with the next tooth in line) had come loose and was lying snugly inside of the hole.
Talk about a bitch to get out. I was in the bathroom for what seemed like hours. I can just imagine the dirty thoughts my family was having. But hey, I got the peice of tooth free, so that’s really all that matters.
The good part is that the missing peice can’t be seen, the bad part.. my mouth feels strange. If any of you have your tongue peirced you’ll know the feeling I’m talking about. It’s the same feeling you get when you take your tongue ring out to clean or change it. It’s just odd.
My mouth is also sore on the upper right side due to my wisdom tooth. It’s been in for quite some time now but the space is tight and it’s rubbing against the lining of my mouth whenever I eat, drink, talk.. you get the picture. I’d have it removed but I know if I can’t even fit the tip of my pinky between the tooth and the side of my mouth, putting tooth removeal tools up there would turn the entire right side of my face into a giant purple bruise.
I already look goofy enough, I don’t need any help in that department :P
Apparently brushing your teeth three times a day really doesn’t solve all tooth related issues. It’s kind of like hearing the weather man talk about a blizzard and following his directions to get extra food and living necesities only to see the sun blazing through your windows in a bright, blue sky. Shit just doesn’t work out the way we’re told it does. We just follow directions like blubbering idiots, wandering through our daily lives wondering when we’ll all be pinned up with the rest of the sheep.
One of these days I’m going to fluff out my lion’s mane and tell them just where to stick their sugar induced tooth products. As for the weather man.. I’ll wait for sub-zero temperatures, strip him to his captain planet under-roos and toss him into the deepest snow drift I can find. I don’t care if his nuts shrivel up to peas. I don’t even care if his nipples get frost bite and fall off. It’ll serve him right for lying to me all these years. It’ll also teach him to look at the sky as well as the barometer before pointing his grimy little fingers to the weather screen.

Wow, that was an interesting entry! If you want to sell a domain, I suggest a public forum, or a members board. You might gain interest from there. And I’m not all that sure about transferring information so I’m sorry I can’t help you with that.OUCH about the tooth abcess etc. The way you described it was fine, but imagining it my mind was painful! I’ve never had a tongue/mouth piercing, so I’m not sure how that would feel.. but -ouch-.
Oh, and about your question at my site, I find these MBs off other people’s sites. They blog about them, have a link in their sidebar etc etc. I like joining and posting on them for a lot of reasons, some being that I have way too much time on my hands, I like making new internet friends and I like hearing the varying views of people worldwide.

Hmm. You can try Yahoo Auctions or Ebay in selling that domain. Otherwise, posting an entry advertising your domain might also be a good way to attract potential buyers. (:

And with the wisdom teeth, it usually is a very painful process to begin with. When I had mine removed, they told me they had to break away mass bits of bone in order to get to my teeth. Luckily for me, I was out cold!
I can’t help you out with your domain issues, but I can relate when you talk about not getting any work done. My procrastination is what keeps me from getting work done, especially site work. Well, school work time is filled in with daydreaming - not so much procrastination.
It really sounds like you could use a visit to the dentist. Soon. Something could be going terribly wrong that needs fixing. My dentist has scared me plenty of times telling about the pain I could suffer if I don’t come in when something seems wrong with my teeth.

I use namecheap.com for all of my domains and I know that there’s a “transfer domain” option. I think you’re able to update the owner’s address and details through that, so that it’s legally registered to them. I could be wrong and there could be a fee involved, but I think that’s how it works. I think you’d get more money for it if you sold it via ebay or better still listed it on a forum/advertised it here.
I hope you get your tooth issues solved soon! Whenever something is wrong with your teeth or your mouth I know it can be very painful and/or irritating. I hope you feel much better soon.
Eugh sounds awful about your teeth! I kind of know the feeling you mean, it’s like when they take your braces off and you’ve got the thingies missing at the back, I imagine.
I have a huge fear of getting wisdom teeth removed … I think I’ll have to get it done but I’m absolutely mortified at the thought.

hope your wisdom tooth makes an exit soon, they’re pretty much useless and really drives you round the bend. uhh at least thats how i see it from the way my friends get their wisdom teeth and then suffer along with it. >.
Your registrar should be able to help you figure it out. I know if you used namecheap it has a walk through to push the domain to another person. I think GoDaddy has the same thing. Sorry I can’t be more help. Just check out the support faqs via your registrar. Good luck!

Ouch! I’m sorry to hear you’re going through a rough time with your teeth… I usually get popcorn kernels stuck in betwen my teeth, and that’s what hurts me the most.. :/

Indulgent reading is some of the best kind of procrastination. Right up there with video games. Haha. But a lot of my procrastination gets done at school and the only thing I can really do there is domain stuff. =p
Most auction sites are for people who sell a lot of things, not just one thing one time. Thus the fee makes sense since they eventually get the money back for it anyways. Good luck selling it if you decide to, though.. I tried to sell a domain once and it didn’t really work. I ended up just letting it expire.
Um.. yeah. I didn’t get my root canal filled either and my tooth broke in half. It really sucked and cost a lot more to fix it than it would have been to just get it filled. =(

If it helps I’ve 17 cavities that need to be filled, four wisdom teeth that need to be removed and one tooth that needs a root canal.
I am petrified of needles so I am going to find a dentist that will gas me with laughing gas first THEN stick me with the needle in the hand that’ll knock me out. Then.. he can do his work.
The wisdom tooth on the top right of my mouth has rotted out big time and so it’s like, half a tooth which constantly scrapes against my lip.
Don’t think I’m a disgusting person; we just had no dental coverage for ten years and when I went through the whole manic depression thing, I didn’t care to shower or do anything and frankly, I don’t now either. My teeth are fucked so why waste the time? Once they’re fixed, however, I’ll take better care.
Anyway…. YOU SHOULD WORK ON COMOTIZED AND PM AND THE MYSTERY SITE DAMNIT!
OH MAN, getting your wisdom teeth taken out doesn’t hurt as bad as you think i would, IF you tell them to put you to sleep. I got mine pulled before they even came through the gums :P

Procrastination never gets me anywhere. I always tell myself “I’m so going to get that done tomorrow!” and then get distracted by some dumb tv show. It’s no wonder I’m forever doing last minute work!
Argh I’m glad I’ve never had any tooth problems before. I have no idea how you managed to tolerate the pain of getting that tooth out. Or was there no pain at all?
I know what you mean about the weaether man. They never get the whether right. They should just quit the damn job and come work as my maid instead. I’d torture them for all the wrong info they gave us!
i’m sure there is a FAQ or something with your domain registrar…since it’s a common thing to do

I procrastinate way too much. I had all these big plans for my site and nothing is getting done. I made a new site and haven’t worked on it since I made it. I just need to add another day to my week. No, that probably wouldn’t be enough either.
I hope you get your tooth looked at. It doesn’t sound very good. And that sucks that your wisdom tooth hurts. You probably need to get it taken out. That is something I haven’t had to deal with yet, thank goodness.
