Apparently I’ve been so wrapped up with quilting bee trades and events I’ve completely overlooked the pixel train. The latest (I’m guessing here) activity is to dress up the PT mascot and make your own little train station. This is how mine turned out. Simple, but not too bad. There’s a lot of submissions already. All them are far better than mine but it was still fun to participate. My original idea was to make the mascot sit on the bench, dress him in a conductors outfit and make him play a guitar. The first problem with that idea was the bear is too big for the bench. The second problem was I don’t have enough pixeling skills :frown: So this is what I ended up with.

Have I ever told you how boring Wal*Mart gets when you’ve gone there for three straight days? After a while you just find yourself wandering down the isles not even looking at the products. Randoming reaching out to snag an item that you saw from the corner of your eye. I did get a new mouse though. No more sticking for me :biggrin: I had a wireless mouse but my desk gets so much static that the ball would get stuck in mid-roll. So I picked up a wireless optical mouse instead. It’s pretty nifty if I do say so myself. It has up and down scrolling as well as left and right. It’s called a ’tilt wheel’ or something. And if you click the wheel it’ll flip through open windows and programs for you. I love it!

And I got canvas! *dances* I can FINALLY finish my celestial set I started three years ago. All I have to do is sketch out how I want the star and planet to look and take it from there. Right now I have the sun and moon painted but I ran out of canvas quickly after that so I was left hanging, and very aggitated. I also got a small figurine and wooden sign to paint. The figurine is a hollow log with flowers, dragonflies and two frogs on it. The wooden sign I picked up for my mother. It’s a heart made of connected pansies with a sign above it that says ‘friend’.

Which leads me to a small complaint.. Never buy a wooden sign to paint if it only costs three bucks. The wood SUCKS. The paint doesn’t want to adhere to it, even after I went over what I’d painted with primer to start again. The paint that does stick doesn’t turn out the color it’s supposed to and you can’t blend anything I’ll make it work, or break it trying *shakes her fist*
